Before joining
Daisy’s Dream as the sole fundraiser in 2004, Vickie Randall successfully worked in marketing and sales.
Vickie has focused on event management, recruiting, training and supporting fundraising volunteers, managing PR for the charity
and securing the support of local companies.
Vickie says,
“I have seen the huge impact successful fundraising can have on a small charity, enabling it to grow and develop
to meet the needs of its clients. But, I am also acutely aware of how difficult
it can be for small charities to get started in fundraising, it is such an unknown to them.
We hope that ConnectCharity will help to fill some of that gap as well as provide bigger charities with access to additional
fundraising resources when needed”.

ConnectCharity will enable your organisation to grow and develop through a sustained, consistant approach
to fundraising.

Ros
Taylor has worked for local, regional, national and international charities and has, in that time, established a
number of successful fundraising teams. Most recently Ros has worked with Reading
Single Homeless Project, the Me2 Club and Berkshire County Blind Society, focusing on building the capacity of any existing
fundraising staff and increasing funding income through grants and donations.
Ros says, “Many charities add fundraising to the job description of a member of staff who is already working
to capacity and wonder why the job never gets done. Trustees can be nervous to
invest in fundraising as they see it as a risk, but allocating a dedicated resource means it has the best chance of success”.
